Do you need a referral?

No referral is needed to see a paediatric physiotherapist.

Can you get a medicare rebate?

Medicare rebates can only be accessed if your GP provides your child with an Enhanced Care Plan or Chronic Disease Management Plan. These rebate is $61.80 per session, and you are eligible for 5 sessions per year. 

What are appointment prices?

For private paying or Medicare patients, initial assessments are $145 for 45 minutes, and follow up appointments are $97 for 30 minutes. 

Applying for the NDIS?

We support eligible families to apply for NDIS funding by completing comprehensive assessments and preparing detailed letters of support. If we assist with your application, you’re under no obligation to continue with Blossom Physiotherapy once funding is approved. Your child’s needs and your family’s preferences always come first.

Gait and Posture

Continence Physiotherapy

  • Giggle incontinence or urge and stress incontinence
  • Pelvic floor disco-ordination (overactive/underactive) with age-appropriate training
  • Diaphragm–core–pelvic floor breathing, posture, and pressure management
  • Equipment set-up: footstools, toilet inserts, adaptive seating for stability
  • Parent/carer coaching and school continence plans


Orthopaedic & Musculoskeletal

  • Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), Perthes, SCFE
  • Clubfoot (CTEV), metatarsus adductus
  • Scoliosis (idiopathic/neuromuscular), postural asymmetry
  • Sports and overuse injuries (e.g., Sever’s, Osgood–Schlatter), fractures
  • Post-operative rehab (tendon lengthening, osteotomies, spinal fusion, SDR, SEMLS)


Neurodevelopmental

  • Cerebral palsy (all GMFCS levels)

Assessment and Diagnosis

  • Developmental screening and milestone checks
  • Standardised testing (e.g., Bayley-4, BOT-2, GMFM, PEDI-CAT, SATCo, HINE)
  • Posture, gait and movement analysis (video, instrumented where available)
  • Respiratory assessment (airway clearance needs, breathing pattern)
  • Equipment/assistive technology (AT) and seating needs assessments
  • Risk assessments (transfers, mobility, car travel, community access)


Intervention and Therapy

  • Early intervention for infants and toddlers
  • Task-specific training, motor learning, strength, balance and endurance programs
  • Gait training (including treadmill/body-weight support)
  • Serial casting and stretching programs; positioning and splinting

  • Orthoses liaison and recommendations (AFOs, SMOs, spinal braces)
  • Set-up, fitting, training, and ongoing review; pressure-care planning
     

Education and Capacity Building

  • Parent/carer coaching and home program design
  • Training for support workers and educators (manual handling, positioning, safe transfers, mobility plans)
  • School/kinder consultancy: classroom seating, playground access, PE participation


Care Coordination and Advocacy

  • Goal setting and outcome tracking
  • NDIS functional assessments, letters of support, plan-review reports
  • Liaison with paediatricians, OTs, speech pathologists, psychologists, orthotists, schools, and surgical teams
